Dark or Milk?

One of the yahoo groups I'm on has been talking about chocolate.

I am curious as to what chocolate people prefer, this is a little informal poll.

I absolutely love dark chocolate. I mean if I need some and only milk is available then I will eat it, but that is the only exception.

My favorite brands are Godiva and Green's and Black organic.

Godiva is expensive and I only get that once or twice a year, hmmm it's a new year...

I can get Green's and Black in the grocery store, I usually get the 70% cocoa but once in awhile I'll have the 85%.

Don't put any fruit or nuts or coconut in my chocolate either!

If I have anything in the chocolate it's more chocolate. Godiva makes a dark chocolate with chocolate mousse in the center. Now that is heavenly, melt in your mouth good.

So what do you prefer?

I probably prefer milk chocolate, although I believe dark is better for you. My husband loves dark chocolate-covered raisins.

Dark chocolate - almost any variety. I made some English Toffee bars last night and they usually call for milk chocolate - but I didn't have any - but semi-sweet chips gave it the dark chocolate taste and it was so much better!! Mmmmm... And that is a new transition - in the last couple of years - milk chocolate has become too sweet for me.

Milk. I know dark is better for you and all I just don't like it. And I like my chocolate to have caramel with it. :) Green & Black's milk caramel chocolate bar is a favorite of mine.

Bluck! Neither - unless it is filled with something like carmel or peanut butter that lightens the taste of the chocolate. I can eat a peanut butter cup, but not a Hershey bar. White chocolate, on the other hand, I do like.

Ok, sorry Kandy but White Chocolate can hardly be called chocolate : )

As was previously discussed elsewhere, I like Milk chocolate. I will eat dark chocoalte with something else, as a sauce on something sweet, with a filling, etc. I just do not like it plain, it is too bitter for me. I agree with you about Godiva, it is heavenly.

I'm starting to think we need to get Kandy's head examined :)

I mean that in the nicest way possible dear.

Have you ever had really good chocolate?

White chocolate isn't chocolate it's parifin(don't think I spelled that right.)

The darker the better and I tend to prefer just plain, but do like it with fruit and nuts.

I'm the exact opposite. I LOVE milk chocolate, but if dark is the only chocolate available, I'll take it. I hate it when people ruin perfectly good chocolate by putting fruit in it, but some nuts are okay (pecans, walnuts). I also love chocolate when it's paired with caramel or peanut butter (but not both at the same time).

Thanks for you comment=) I believe I am doing the right thing. I'm ready to give that up and mooooooooooove on.

(B'bye dipshit! Hahaha...Yeah, I know, so much for my mature reaction=P)

As for chocolate...hmm...I love all kinds, but I really love dark chocolate...Even like, uber-healthy chocolate that you get in H-E-B or something. I bought one once, and they have love poems written on the inside...It's really cool.

Godiva is AMAZING. Sooo good. But you're right...it's terribly expensive!

I'm a dark girl for sure. It has two advantages for me. First is it is better for me health wise and second is no one else in my family likes it so I get it all to myself.

I'll eat either (I guess I could say *anything* lol), as long as it's good quality. I cannot stand cheap chocolate-like junk. ; )
