Latest learning tools

We played a lot of Hangman this week.

Jared and Cassie are always drawing pictures.

Lots of world of Warcraft, a little Club Penguin, Nick Jr. and Sesame Street.

Exploring weather, catching fireflies, swimming, baseball, riding bikes, friends sleeping over, baking cookies, basketball, some movie watching, cooking, listening to music, dress up, cars, race tracks, lincoln logs, tinker toys, barbie dolls, toy guns, taking care of plants and animals, lots of questions, G.I. Joe, army, grocery shopping, cards...

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Kids are always busy playing, learning, growing and exploring and free to follow their interests.

Unschooling Rocks!

I second that unschooling is the best! I started a week's vacation from work on Thursday. Thursday was library/park day, Friday was A Day Out with Thomas (the Tank Engine), Saturday was 4-H, today was church and lots of playing. Taliesin discovered his new interest - checkers. Nathanael got out the keyboard today and was playing with it. The neighbor girl came over this evening and played some games with them and watched a DVD or two with them. They built with Legos and played with toy trains and trucks. We listened to a Red Grammer CD, did some cleaning, and now they're both zonked out.
Real-life learning is the best! Been talking about that more on my college discussion board, too, for this teaching class. :^) Love being able to enlighten people about unschooling!
