Today for Show and Tell, I've brought a tiny marvel of nature: a single snowflake. I think we might all learn a lesson from how this utterly unique and exquisite crystal turns into an ordinary, boring molecule of water, just like every other one, when you bring it in the classroom. And now, while the analogy sinks in, I'll be leaving you drips and going outside." ~ Calvin, from Calvin & Hobbes

Baby bird
Here he is today, we found the eggs on April 1st. He will be ready to fly away soon. This is so cool, we have never witnessed the hatching to the flying. The kids check on him everyday.

He'll be flying soon, so keep a close eye! When ours flew last year, there was quite a rucous (sp?) as the parents called them to follow.
That is so cool!
Look forward to checking out more of your site.
He flew the next day :)
I have never witnessed a bird hatching myself. It sounds exciting.
Cool! We had a nest of baby birds last year in an arborvite that Jorry had on the side of the house. We got to watch from eggs to flying as well. It was really neat.
That is very cool! I love nature! It really is the best teacher!
