I am feeling BLAH!!!!
I guess I am affected when we have more than one rainy day in a row, where did the sun go???? Come back come back!
It's also post menstrual and I do have a few down days after that so I figure I'll be fine tomorrow.
I guess I have a lot on my mind and I have a lot I want to do and I don't know where to start.
I also am bothered by some things that the neighbors tell me that their teachers say.
School is so damaging to families it just separates them and indoctrinates the kids, it really saddens me.
I wish I could save them, I would shout from the rooftop, I would hand out Holt and Gatto books at the street corner if I could afford it.
All I can do is not participate in the system and help those who want my help to see the light.
Some people complain about the system, the teachers, the homework but still keep sending their precious children there. They are full of hot air and unwilling to step out of the box and do something about it.
Many people just think it's what they are supposed to do or feel trapped, I believe everyone has a choice and where there is a will there is a way.
I will do whatever it takes to keep my children home with me.
Unschooling Rocks!
Learning through living is what we do.

Complaining about the school system always reminds me of my SIL...she complains and tells horrible stories about all the times they've lost her kids; putting them on the wrong bus or putting them on the bus when they're supposed to be picked up by her, the bad teachers, the horrible kids, the nurse who won't give her youngest the meds they send, and instead gives her other meds she's not supposed to have...
And yet she keeps sending them every day.
It's incomprehensible to me.
You are starting to sound like me when it rains...
Be careful, you will be assimilated.
btw- Chrystal is so happy unschooling. :)
I hope you're feeling much better. It's been a headacle April or more...a few weeks! I can't seem to keep up with all the RCU and other Yahoo Group posts.
For the things you want to do...take the baby step...one at a time. Focus on being in the moment.
For school, I really believe those complain will always complain but are so entrenched in the system that it's okay to reliquish their responsibilities and accountabilities of their children to an institution even if it means putting up with displeasures.
By the way, I recently met (on blog for me) a local friend whose children are in public school. However, they sound very unschoolish. Her children are altogether. She is a very mindful, single parent. It humbles me to no end that it's all about the parents' attitutes and actions what they do with their children outside of school. Thoughts to ponder.
Blessings,
Sarah
